The regular bus service through the village ceased in August 2017. As a temporary measure from 11/9/17, North Yorkshire County Council provides a service (route 426) to Piccadilly, picking up from Naburn at 11:14 and 13:25. The return journey departs from Piccadilly PD (near former Banana Warehouse) at 13:45. This service is provided using a 16-seat minibus, which is not permitted to carry standing passengers. There is therefore a risk on any service that all seats may be taken and not everyone wishing to travel will be able to be accommodated.

Arriva Yorkshire also provides a service into York (route X26) departing Naburn at 07:35. The return service leaves Piccadilly at 18:19 travelling via Fulford Road, Naburn Front Street and on to Stillingfleet. A composite timetable showing both services is available to download here. All services operate Monday-Friday only, and will be reviewed in late October 2017.

Naburn is situated on Route 65 (Middlesbrough to Hull) of the National Cycle Network. This route also forms part of the Trans Pennine Trail. Further information and maps can be obtained from the Sustrans website.
